Princess Katarina is a character created by AmandaDoE, introduced formally in Defenders Chronicles: Highlander. A royal of Mongo, believed to be the future queen, she is the youngest daughter of the estranged Ming and Zyna, and a sister to Princess Aura, Princess Sheila, Princess Castra, and Prince Krotan. The noble siblings are known as the Royal Five in Dimension N.

During her childhood, Katarina made a private trip to a field, where a boy named Calaban spoke of the injustices that Ming was subjecting his family to. Upon learning that countless others were facing Ming's tyranny as well, she left her privileged lifestyle behind to join the rebellion. While assisting them in their exploits, Kat gained a great deal of combat experience, vowing to build a new government and to reunite with her siblings, some of whom had also separated from Ming. 

Katarina debuts in the latter half of Defenders Chronicles: Highlander. She returns in a story that introduces a supporting cast: her longtime romantic interest Calaban, her advisor and potential suitor Lar, and her close servant Lyn.

Possibly the most powerful Mongoian royal, she possesses an ability to see visions of the future, which proves to be a valuable asset in battle, as well as in providing governmental assistance. She is also capable of transporting objects via teleportation, and establishes herself as a skilled leader.
