Multiple Dimensions
Defenders of the Earth fan fiction features multiple dimensions, each with its own Earth and its own versions of the protagonists. In short, when a writer creates an isolated tale which chronicles anything that did not occur on the TV series, they're creating another dimension.
Most of these worlds have history identical to that of the TV show, or similar to it: the Defenders oppose Ming the Merciless and ultimately counter one of his most ambitious plans, after which different events occur on each planet.
Additionally, the official and licensed DoE works are recognized as taking place on their own Earths, separate from those in fan fiction. Most fan-created worlds were spawned from Earth E, the planet depicted in the TV series.
The tale Defenders of the Earth: This Is Their Side Story revealed that travel between the dimensions was possible, allowing characters from different continuities to interact.
--------
Earth A features characters resembling those from the unaired television pilot for Defenders of the Earth.
--------
Dimension B
The setting of This Is Their Side Story. Earth B is defended by a team who differ from the unit on Earth A. In this dimension, Flash has a son named Rick, and Phantom has a daughter named Jedda. Unlike Jedda Gordon of Earth A, whose first known power is telekinesis, Jedda Walker possesses telepathic abilities. Earth B is possibly a magical copy of Earth Z, which spawned from Earth E, as it is home to people almost identical to those from Defenders of the Earth: This Is Their Story, along with others.
--------
The Jedda on this world is modeled after an alternate design from the TV series, which appeared on the show due to creative changes and varying art styles.
--------
Dimension D
Earth D is the world presented in Dynasties. As with other worlds, it has the same history as Earth E, but events move into a unique direction. Flash has a son named Rick and Phantom has a daughter named Jedda. Once the Defenders have seemingly thwarted all of Ming's schemes, Jedda leaves the team during a period of peace. Soon afterward, several new adventures begin.
--------
Dimension E
Earth E is the planet presented in the television series Defenders of the Earth. During its last recorded event, the Defenders countered Ming's effort to create an army of dinosaurs, supposedly ensuring the world's safety from him from that point onward. Most other Earths retain the history of Earth E and feature alternate futures.
--------
Dimension F
The setting of Defenders of the Earth: 1938.
--------
Dimension G
The setting of Marzena's tales The Story Begins — Original Pilot and The Prince of Mongo. These stories introduce Duffy Gordon.
--------
Dimension H
Dimension H introduces a world ruled by Hadea and Jedda Walker. It is featured in the fan comic Earth H.
--------
Dimension I
Earth I is the world on which DOE Retold is set.
--------
Dimension J
The setting of the fan comic Earth J, featuring a world ruled by Hadea and her proud daughter Jedda.
--------
Dimension K
Featured in Defenders of the Earth: This Is Their Side Story, Earth K is ruled by Hadea. It is introduced in the chapter "A Growing Ensemble," a follow-up to "The Princess Makes Her Move."
--------
Dimension L
The setting of Defenders of Arus, a concept featuring characters from Defenders of the Earth and the anime Voltron: Defender of the Universe. The Defenders find themselves stranded temporarily on a world called Arus, where they help the Voltron Force — pilots of the mighty battle machine Voltron — repel invasions from planets Doom and Mongo amid a number of personal matters.
--------
Dimension M
Dimension M is the setting of The Anticipation, a tale in which Jedda Walker is suddenly brought to Mongo by Krotan. But is she really a prisoner?
--------
Dimension N
Earth N is the world of Defenders Chronicles: Highlander. These writings focus extensively on Tori Gordon and the Royals of the Netherworld.
--------
Dimension S
The setting of Sailor Moon Defenders, Earth S is inhabited by the Defenders and a team known as the Sailor Guardians. When introduced, its history is nearly identical to that of Earth E, with certain events rearranged.
--------
Dimension V
This dimension features the Earth from the Defenders of the Earth comic books published by Star Comics.
--------
Dimension Y
Earth Y is presented in the This Is Their Side Story chapter "Relatives." The Defenders meet a girl named Duffy from this world, and learn that she may have a special destiny.
--------
Dimension Z
Created by Marzena, Dimension Z is the realm presented in Defenders of the Earth: This Is Their Story. Earth Z features a history largely similar to that of Earth E, with somewhat different events, and several people who do not appear on the former.
