Chapter Ten: Epilogue
With the Defenders and the Sailor Guardians beside her, Jedda teleported to each of the planets that Hadea had conquered over the past year. With help from Usagi and Mamoru, she restored each of the planets to what it was before and revived all of the fallen victims along the way.
After a long and exhaustive trial, with extensive testimony from Jedda, the galaxy's de facto queen, Hadea was able to avoid prison time on the terms that she not attempt another conquest of Earth or the galaxy.
"I'm sorry," Jedda had told her mother during one of her visits to the Netherworld, explaining why she ultimately couldn't support Hadea's rule. "I love you, Mother."
Hadea had looked sullen but she managed to speak. "I love you too."
Jedda sighed with relief and made a small smile. That was all she needed to hear.
Ami and the rest of the Sailor Guardians were in the living room of Mandrake's mansion as the Defenders returned from the meeting room.
"What did the president have to say?" Ami asked as she and the other Sailor Guardians looked at the Defenders.
"The president requests you guys to remain here with us at Central City." Flash told the Sailor Guardians.
"What?!" Usagi exclaimed in disbelief. Chibiusa groaned in the same disbelief as well.
"For how long?" Mamoru asked.
"He said until the threat of Zorelda is eliminated." Flash answered.
"According to the president," Mandrake explained. "It's suspected that Zorelda might still be out there somewhere."
"How?!" Makoto exclaimed in surprise. "We saw her being vaporized by Hadea!"
"Well," Flash added to the explanation. "They suspect that Hadea had somehow revived Zorelda and that's why she is on the loose somewhere."
"They saw what appeared to be molecules where the witch remained during the attack on Juban," Lothar added.
Ami took a step back in surprise of the fact that Zorelda might be alive and still out there.
"If Zorelda might be still alive," Minako stated, "then I think that it would be best for us to stick around Central City."
"We will need to find her and soon," Usagi replied.
"We will," Mamoru simply stated.
"It looks like we have our word cut out for us," Artemis stated.
"We will do everything we can to help you guys," Luna added.
"That's right." Diana nodded in agreement.
"The US Government evidently knows about the Sailor Guardians who helped us against Hadea," the Phantom stated.
"Speaking of which," Flash said, "what about the other Sailor Guardians that were with us? Where are they?"
Mandrake tipped his hat. "I was able to get a three bedroom apartment downtown for Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna and Hotaru as they chose to stay there, while the rest of the Sailor Guardians are staying here with us. The Outer Guardians will still be in Central City whenever we need them."
"Now that Hadea is no longer a threat," Sheila stated, "I have a feeling the Sailor Guardians will soon meet Ming the Merciless real soon."
"Ming the Merciless?" Chibiusa asked.
"He's been our number one enemy for years, prior to Hadea's reign on this galaxy," Flash answered.
"Oh boy are we in trouble," Usagi quipped with sarcasm. "Not only we have to deal with Zorelda the witch but we have to deal with this Ming person as well!"
"It'll be fine, Usako," Mamoru placed his hands on her shoulders. "No matter what we face down the road, we will do what it takes to face it."
Ami watched as Usagi gave her lover a affirming nod.
"I'm just glad everything is back to normal," April said, breaking her silence.
"At least to some degree," Kshin added.
Ami took a deep breath before she spoke up. "I can't believe that Rick and Jedda are about to become parents soon."
"Yeah." April nodded in agreement. "My little bro's going to be a Dad. That means I am going to be an aunt."
"That also means that Phantom and I will be grandparents soon," Flash declared, looking a little awkward, but pleased as well.
"Speaking of which," LJ chimed in, "where are the expecting parents now?"
Ami sighed as she glanced towards the door. "I think that Rick and Jedda need some alone time right now. Together."
Jedda and Rick had found themselves in a loving embrace. They had been in Jedda's room cuddling on the chair for the past couple of minutes now, not really knowing what to say at first.
Rick took a deep breath and broke the silence, glancing at his girlfriend. "I can't believe we are going to become parents."
"In a few months." Jedda looked down blushing. "Yes."
She looked up at her boyfriend again as he started speaking. "It's kind of scary thinking about it. I dreamed of having a future with you but I… I never imagined it being so soon."
"It is surprising." Jedda nodded in agreement. "After all I've been through with my mother, I am unsure of what I want in my life: whether it is to be a Phantom, a Defender of the Earth, a normal girl, a princess or even a queen."
"Queen of what?" Rick asked as he appeared to be surprised and confused at the same time.
"Queen of the Netherworld," Jedda answered. "I know one thing is for certain, I couldn't deny our baby being without its father."
Rick paused again with that last statement she had just said. This wasn't surprising. Jedda was raised without a mother growing up and her father was constantly on the go during his missions. He worried that he might bring the child to a similar upbringing with the father being on the go, especially with his team still active at this time. He only hoped that he would give the child the best life he possibly can give him or her.
"I know you will be a great mother," Rick finally said as he gently touched Jedda's stomach. "The child will love you."
"And the child will love you too." Jedda smiled at him.
Rick looked around for a moment before asking. "So, where's the Necklace of Oros?"
"It's in a safe place and out of our lives," Jedda assured him, gently placing a hand on his chest.
Rick sighed. "I hope that we can give our child the best upbringing possible."
"I know that we will," Jedda assured him as they interlocked hands.
"I love you, Jedda."
"I love you too."
Rick and Jedda shared a kiss together and held each other in a romantic embrace.
After breaking the kiss, they looked outside the window as the sun rose at a newly restored Earth and a restored galaxy overall.

Rick senses that the Netherworld could face an imminent attack.
The groups begin learning more about the Kings.
Hadea and her companions take preemptive measures against Zorelda.
Hadea and Phantom explore their bond, as do several others throughout the day. First appearance of Tori Gordon.
Rick and Jedda work to resolve recent issues. Minako explores life in the Netherworld.
Ming reenters the fray as the Kings converse with Zorelda.
The groups decide that it's time for the confrontation.
The Guardians and Defenders engage the Kings in the Netherworld.
The Kings begin to realize the truth.
With Zorelda seemingly thwarted, the groups begin moving on. A woman named Rachel arrives at Monitor.
Everyone begins learning more about Rachel.
