Sailor Moon Defenders

Chapter Thirty-Eight: Point Breaker
"Rick, it's me Jedda!" Jedda called to the creature attacking the group. She perked up as the creature started to advance towards her then tapped into the necklace. "Necklace of Oros, help me to get Rick to open his eyes and remember who we are."
The energy coming from the necklace appeared to be affecting Rick as he was struggling to make a move. "Yes. That's it. Rick, do you recognize me?"
He didn't answer. At first, he looked around. Then, he trembled in fear, whimpering. Finally, he walked over to her and gently touched her hand. "Everything will be fine, Rick. Trust me. We'll get you back to normal."
Jedda could tell that he was scared at what he had become, what he had turned into. She didn't know what she could say to make him feel better.

"Rick." Flash walked towards his son as Jedda and Rick both glanced over at him.
Rick only whimpered in response. Jedda took a deep breath before looking over at him. "He's trying to fight his monster instincts."
Flash then took a deep breath himself, trying to find the right words to say to give his son some calm assurance. Then, he gave him a gentle touch. "Rick, son, I don't know if you can hear me or not."
He looked down a moment, feeling as if that was a stupid statement. Of course, Rick could hear him. Those damned mutations took his speech from him. He wasn't able to speak because he had become this creature. What did Rick do to deserve this? He took a deep breath so he could be calm for his son's sake. "I need you to hang in there. I promise you, we will get you through this. I swear it!"
Flash looked on as only a whimper came out from his son as he grasped his claws.

"Mercury Aqua Mirage!"
"Fire Soul!"
"Sparkling Wide Pressure!"
"Venus Love Me Chain!"
The four combined attacks hit Sailor Tin Nyanko and caused her to land hard on the ground. Usagi sighed with relief, knowing that they were making some progress with their new enemy.
"Now it's our turn!" Setsuna exclaimed as their opponent leapt back up.
"World Shaking!"
"Deep Submerge!"
"Dead Scream!"
"Silence Glaive Surprise!"
Sailor Tin Nyanko was able to deflect the attacks coming from Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna but the last attack coming from Hotaru caused her to be knocked back to the ground again.
"Man!" Sailor Tin Nyanko exclaimed in annoyance. "This is getting to be quite annoying! Then again, I wasn't really prepared by that last attack."

Mamoru jolted up out of his bed, startled.
"Master Mamoru," Diana said in concern. "What's the matter?"
"I feel something," Mamoru answered as he clutched his hand to his chest. "It's like a feeling that is telling me to get out there and help the others."
"What?!" Artemis exclaimed in shock.
"You need to rest," Luna objected. "Tin Nyanko nearly did you in during that last battle."
"It's not that simple," Mamoru replied as he started to see a strange glow within his chest. "This feeling I've had for some time now."
He remembered Helios telling him that he had the true Golden Crystal all along during the heroes' battle against Hadea. He then looked down at his chest. Could this be the true Golden Crystal that I have had within me all along? All this time?
"I remember Helios telling me that I had the true Golden Crystal all along when we first met the Defenders of the Earth." Mamoru explained to the cats.
"I don't get it." Diana quipped. "Didn't Helios have the Golden Crystal on his head?"
"He said that was the Golden Crystal of dreams." Mamoru answered.
"So the Golden Crystal is telling you to go and help the Sailor Guardians?" Artemis asked.
Mamoru nodded in response. "It's as if something is about to happen and that all of the Sailor Crystals are going to be needed for Sailor Moon, including mine."
He looked at the cats, who all glanced at each other before they faced him, giving him an approving stare.
"Go for it then, but be careful," Luna stressed.

April and LJ tried firing their weapons at her but to no avail. Then, she unleashed some energy which knocked them both to the ground.
"LJ!" Lothar exclaimed in surprise.
"April, are you guys okay?" Mandrake asked.
Usagi looked on in surprise as April and LJ were trying to stand up. Luckily, they were able to do so, albeit they were both injured by that attack.
"We'll be fine." April answered.
"Rick is our number one concern right now." LJ nodded in agreement.
Before Sailor Tin Nyanko can launch a killing blow towards April and LJ, Cathleen unleashed magical energy, which knocked her down to the ground in the process.
"This bad kitty wasn't counting on magic, was she?" Cathleen smirked.
Usagi glanced at her. She knew not to trust her after all that she had done but if she was helping them, then all she can do for now is trust her. Even though, Cathleen was probably doing this for her own personal agenda, still after Rick most likely.
"Now it is our turn!" Kakyuu exclaimed.
"Star Serious Laser!" Seiya launched the first attack.
"Star Sensitive Inferno!" Yaten launched the second attack.
"Star Gentle Uterus!" Taiki launched the third attack.
Sailor Tin Nyanko managed to deflect all three attacks. "Heh, give me a break here. This is like a gentle dancing breeze."
"Yeah," Kakyuu took a brave step forward, "but I am certain you haven't met my powers yet."
She then proceeded to launch her attack. "Starlights Royal Straight Flush!"
The blast of cards pummeled Sailor Tin Nyanko and knocked her to the ground. The opponent growled and hissed in response. "How dare you?!"
"Kinmoku Fusion Tempest!" Kakyuu unleashed another attack which knocked her opponent further to the ground. She then looked up at Usagi. "Sailor Moon, the source of her power is her bracelets!"
Usagi nodded and aimed her tiare at Sailor Tin Nyanko. "Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss!"
The energy hits her opponent but with only half result. Tin Nyanko stopped the attack before it could completely destroy her but not without the attack removing one of her bracelets. As a result, her suit was now half white and half black.
"What happened there?" Ami asked.
"Now that one of the bracelets had been removed from her," Kakyuu answered, "it seems she will be reverting back to her former self in no time."
"Now that's an interesting revelation." Mandrake replied.
Sailor Tin Nynako meowed and shrieked as she unleashed some energy towards the heroes. Chibi Chibi used her staff to deflect the attack.
"That was too close!" Sheila exclaimed.
"Well your luck will soon be running out!" Sailor Tin Nyanko exclaimed. She took a step back and looked at the heroes. "No. Don't let Lady Galaxia destroy you!"
Usagi glanced on as Tin Nyanko took a step forward. "I think I will take the Quasanite Powers, the Necklace of Oros and some star seeds!"
"Leave them alone!" Sheila yelled.

"Necklace of Oros," Jedda tapped into the Necklace of Oros again, "subdue our opponent!"
Energy coming from the Necklace of Oros knocked Sailor Tin Nyanko to the ground, preventing her from attacking her, Rick or Flash.
"Good call there, Jedda." Flash stated before he sighed with relief.
"I agree," Jedda replied, "but I have no idea how long we can keep this up."
"Well," Sailor Tin Nyanko replied as she was standing back up, "why don't you surrender Rick Gordon if you think this fight is too much for you?"
"Not a chance!" Flash replied.
Jedda watched as her opponent took a step back, appearing to be conflicted. "You're right. You can't surrender your son to Galaxia. She'll use him to destroy the rest of you if you do."
"It appears she is trying to resist Galaxia's power." Jedda stated. "In that case, we might be able to help her."
"Resist nothing!" Sailor Tin Nyanko exclaimed as she tried to attack again. "You are about to meet your end!"
Rick lifted his hand which caused their opponent to be lifted into the air. Then he tossed her to a nearby rock.
Jedda glanced on in concern. "Rick, thanks for helping us but you can't use your powers anymore. It might hinder your chances of being cured. Leave this to the Sailor Guardians, okay?"
Rick nodded in response.
"And to the rest of us Defenders." Flash added as he and Sheila hurried in front of them. Jedda looked up as Sailor Tin Nyanko launched another attack at them. Sheila raised a hand, creating a force field in the process. This force field knocked down Sailor Tin Nyanko again. "Damn!"
"I can only do this for so long." Sheila stated. "Here. Let me try this."
She suddenly vanished from sight.
"She's gone invisible again." Flash stated.
Jedda watched in amazement as Sheila was using her invisibility to keep Sailor Tin Nyanko off guard and kicking her butt.
"It appears that Sheila is kicking her butt across the board." Minako quipped.
After some time, Sailor Tin Nyanko meowed and shrieked in annoyance and unleashed some energy at Sheila, causing her to be visible again and knocking her down in the process.
"Sheila, are you all right?" Flash asked.
"I'll be fine." Sheila answered as she was getting up. "Just focus on keeping Rick safe."
Jedda looked up as Sailor Tin Nyanko tried lunging towards them. This time, she was stopped by a familiar red streak which knocked down Sailor Tin Nyanko.
"Could it be?" Jedda asked in surprise.
Everyone looked in surprise to see Mamoru donned in his Tuxedo Mask suit.
"Sailor Tin Nyanko," Mamoru told the conflicted Sailor Animamate, "you must remember who you are! Remember who you used to be!"
"You're right." Sailor Tin Nyanko looked down. "I have to remember who I am."
She took a step back. "Oh give me a break! I am a servant to Lady Galaxia and I will destroy all of you!"

Volume One
Using the power of the Necklace of Oros, Queen Hadea conquers the galaxy. The Defenders seek help from a group called the Sailor Guardians.
Rei notices the effects of battle on Usagi. Meanwhile, both teams make desperate efforts to end the clash. The Sailors approach Hadea's temple, and Flash's daughter returns to lend her aid.
Each side becomes more powerful.
Issues in Jedda's past and present lead to a monumental decision.
Princess Jedda begins embracing Hadea's cause. Ami and Rick continue to bond.
Members of the Sailor Outer Senshi join the battle. Princess Jedda is faced with a decision as a ruler. Later, she explores a startling possibility.
Now divided, the teams fend attacks off while struggling to reach Hadea.

Rick senses that the Netherworld could face an imminent attack.
The groups begin learning more about the Kings.
Hadea and her companions take preemptive measures against Zorelda.
Hadea and Phantom explore their bond, as do several others throughout the day. First appearance of Tori Gordon.
Rick and Jedda work to resolve recent issues. Minako explores life in the Netherworld.
Ming reenters the fray as the Kings converse with Zorelda.
The groups decide that it's time for the confrontation.
The Guardians and Defenders engage the Kings in the Netherworld.
The Kings begin to realize the truth.
With Zorelda seemingly thwarted, the groups begin moving on. A woman named Rachel arrives at Monitor.
Everyone begins learning more about Rachel.
