Sailor Moon Defenders

Chapter Thirty-Seven: Surprises
Flash looked tense as the Defenders were back at Monitor. He was angry that this new soldier was responsible for his son escaping his cell. Now there was no telling what had become of his son, at least until they were able to find his location.
"Dynak," Artemis asked, "have you been able to locate Rick Gordon?"
"I am currently searching his location." Dynak answered.
Flash noticed Kshin glancing over at the three cats as he said. "You know something, when we first met the Sailor Guardians, I thought you three were just ordinary cats. You truly took us by surprise when you shown us your human forms."
"Now is not the time, Kshin!" Luna exclaimed.
"She's right." Flash sternly added. "We've got to find Rick. There's no telling what has become of him or if that so called Sailor Guardian took him to her Galaxia boss."
"Take it easy, my friend." Mandrake gently touched his teammate's arm and assured him. "We'll find Rick."
"I have spotted what appears to be Rick Gordon." Dynak announced.
"What appears to be Rick?" April quipped.
The group looked on screen to see a giant hole in the wall at the mansion, bringing them by surprise.
"What happened there?!" Michiru exclaimed in shock.
"Rick must have used his powers to try and get away from Tin Nyanko." Luna calmly replied.
"If that's the case," Artemis added, "then Rick might have become a monster!"
"Oh no!" Diana cried out in concern.
"We will have to hurry and bring him back here." Flash told the team.
"You need to provide him the antidote." Kakyuu arrived on the scene with a vile of red liquid in her hands. "I can sense that Rick Gordon has become a monster."
"You got the antidote." Jedda sighed with relief.
"About time." LJ quipped.
"You must hurry and provide him the antidote." Kakyuu told the others. "Otherwise, he will remain as a monster forever. The Starlights will aid you. Good luck."
Flash took a deep breath, preparing himself for a long battle to save his son from the fate that he was in. He glanced at Jedda who held the Necklace of Oros on her neck and could tell she was concerned for her boyfriend as well, given what he was going through. Flash could tell she was preparing to get him back as well.
"Should you be resting?" Taiki asked, looking at Jedda.
"Yeah." Yaten added as he stressed. "This could be dangerous."
"Rick is going to need all the support he can get." Jedda insisted. "Besides, I have the Necklace of Oros and it can be among our best chance to try to reach Rick."
"Guys," Seiya glanced at his teammates, "Jedda will be fine. It's not like she can't handle herself even if she is pregnant."
"Jedda has proven that she can hold her own on more than one occasion. Even before the Necklace of Oros was in the picture." Flash added. He glanced at her. They both shared the same concern over Rick and they, along with the rest of the heroes, were hoping they would be able to get Rick cured from being a monster before it was too late.
"What are we waiting for? We should be looking for Rick!" Flash insisted.
"Usagi and Chibiusa are taking Mamoru to their quarters so he can rest." Lothar calmly replied.
He then sighed roughly. "Of course."

Michiru followed Haruka's glance as Usagi and Chibiusa arrived at Monitor.
"How's our prince?" Michiru asked.
"Mamo is going to be okay." Usagi answered. "He just needs to rest."
"I hope we are able to get Rick back." Michiru said. "I can't imagine what the Defenders are going through right now, especially Jedda and Flash as they are close to him."
"It must be hard on them." Haruka replied before she gently grasped her hands to hers.
"If that had been you that was going through what Rick is going through," Michiru stated as she was picturing herself in the heroes' shoes, "I honestly don't know what I would do. It's honestly hard to put yourself in their shoes."
"I agree with you there."
"We need to focus on protecting our princess as well as Jedda. With a Rick as a monster, there's no telling how stable he is in or what state he is in."
"Agreed."
Flash glanced over at the group as Michiru and Haruka faced him and the rest of the heroes.
"Now that all of the group's together," Flash told the team, "we should be going."
"Right!" Usagi gave out an affirming nod.

Jedda was startled upon seeing Chibi Chibi bouncing up and down all of a sudden.
"Let me help!" Chibi Chibi chimed all of a sudden, bouncing up and down.
"No offense, honey," Sheila glanced down, "but how on Earth can you help us?"
"Yeah, how can you help us, Chibi Chibi?" April asked.
"You would be surprised to know how." Kakyuu answered, glancing down at Chibi Chibi. "I have felt her healing planetary power."
She faced the heroes. "Chibi Chibi is also a Sailor Guardian."
"What?!" Jedda glanced around as the Sailor Guardians in the room exclaimed simultaneously in surprise.
Chibi Chibi posed, preparing to transform. "Chibi Chibi Crystal Power Make Up!"
In a flash of energy, Jedda paled in surprise to see Chibi Chibi in a sailor fuku just like the rest of the Sailor Guardians. Her suit was similar to Sailor Moon's new sailor fuku, except her skirt was blue and she didn't have angel wings and her compact was pink rather than gold. Rick's dream has become full circle.
"I think we might be in an advantage now." Mandrake stated.
"You will be in a bigger advantage." Kakyuu stood up. "I will help too. I am a Sailor Guardian as well!"
"Princess!" Yaten gasped in surprise.
"Are you sure?" Taiki asked.
"I'm certain." Kakyuu answered. "They will be needing all the help they can get."
She posed, preparing to transform. "Kinmoku Star Power… Make Up!"
In a flash of energy, Kakyuu was now in her sailor fuku, which was similar to the Sailor Starlights.
"Princess Kakyuu is a Sailor Guardian!" Jedda exclaimed in surprise.
"I, Sailor Kakyuu," Kakyuu declared, "will help you guys give Rick the antidote and stop our enemies in the process!"
"We should get moving now." Sheila suggested.
"Right." Flash nodded in agreement. "Every second counts to find Rick and cure him from these mutations."
Jedda took a deep breath and then looked down at the Necklace of Oros, preparing for a long hard battle. She wanted Rick back safe and sound and she wanted him back to normal. She knew that he would never be human again once the mutations are reversed but to some degree, he would still be the Rick Gordon she had come to love.

Sailor Tin Nyanko dodged another blow from the mysterious creature that was attacking her. "Sheesh! This monster doesn't know when to quit!"
She was taken by surprise when the creature unleashed white energy from his hands. She glanced up, sensing something familiar from the creature. "That energy's familiar. Could that be Rick Gordon?"
"Stop right there!"
Tin Nyanko looked to see that all of the heroes have arrived on scene. "The Sailor Guardians and the Defenders of the Earth!"

Flash looked up as his mouth dropped in shock to see the creature that Sailor Tin Nyanko was fighting against. "Is that… Rick?"
He looked to see the others looking on in shock as well. Then he looked at the creature that was once known as his son. He appeared to be seven foot tall in height, long black hair, red eyes, beige skin, large claws and feet to match.
"Oh dear. Rick is now twice his normal height." Mandrake stated in shock. "The mutations have indeed taken full effect on him."
"You guys might want to make a run for it." Sailor Tin Nyanko told the group with a smug look on her face. "This monster is willing to attack no matter who is in sight."
"You did this to him!" Flash snarled in anger. "He was supposed to stay in his cell until the cure came!"
He got out his handgun, not willing to hold back. "And if we can't get him back, you will be the one who pays with your life."
Sailor Tin Nyanko chuckled. "Ha! You are really stupid to think that a simple human weapon would work against me."
"Flash, stop!" Mandrake grabbed him. "She's right. Our weapons are useless against these powerful soldiers."
"There's no sense in being reckless." Kakyuu added. "It will only make things worse."
"Are we done with the dramatics?" Sailor Tin Nyanko asked. "If so, I shall finish all of you now and take your star seeds."
She unleashed her attack. "Galactica Puppet!"
Chibi Chibi used her staff to protect the heroes against the attack.
"Damn." Sailor Tin Nyanko muttered. "She protected them against my attack! Who the hell is she?"
"So Rick Gordon has become a monster now, huh?"
Flash glanced down in disbelief as Cathleen arrived at the area as well. "Great. Just what we need, another person to deal with."
He looked in surprise as Rick unleashed white energy against Cathleen. Moments later, she used a force field to block the attack.
"That proves to be useless." Cathleen smirked. "And your son has become quite beastly I must say, Flash Gordon."
"How dare you?!" Flash roared in anger, trying to go after her again. Kakyuu and Mandrake held him back.
"There is no time for a quarrel." Kakyuu insisted. "We can deal with Cathleen after we help Rick."
Flash took a deep breath, doing what he could to calm down. She was right after all. His son was the top priority of this mission after all while taking care of the threats that they had to deal with. He knew that this was going to be the hardest battle for sure.
