Chapter Seven: Alliances
Flash opened his eyes to find himself in an unfamiliar territory. He looked around to see Rei, Ami, Haruka and Michiru were also with him in this area. He noticed that his surroundings were just like the rest of the world, exactly as Hadea had wanted it.
What puzzled him was how he got here in the first place. Last thing he remembered, he was piloting the Terry en route to the Netherworld and the next thing he knew, they were here. He wondered what happened to his son and the others, and hoped April and Kshin were okay.
"Where are we?" Flash asked as he looked at the Sailor Guardians in his group.
Ami got out her hand held computer and scanned the area. "This place used to be called Australia. Now it is called Goldeena."
"It's kind of stupid to change the name of a country if you ask me." Haruka scoffed.
"I agree," Michiru added. "It's really pointless."
Flash glanced over at Ami. "Ami, is it?"
Ami looked at him with some confusion. "Yes. Why?"
"I just wanted to say that I wanted to thank you for helping my son through a tough time," Flash said. "He misses Jedda but you helped him when he needed someone to talk to."
"It's not a problem," Ami replied. "He listened to me when I needed an ear."
Flash smiled as he was unsure of what else he could say.
"I sense something," Rei announced, pulling the pair out of their conversation.
"Danger?" Flash asked.
"Exactly."
He armed himself with a gun while Rei, Ami, Haruka and Michiru posed, preparing to fight as they noticed Hadea's forces approaching them.
"It looks as if we have a welcoming committee here," Flash declared.
"That's not a problem." Michiru replied.
"Let's get to it!" Haruka exclaimed.
"Mars Flame Sniper!"
"Shine Aqua Illusion!"
The two attacks took out some of Hadea's forces.
"World Shaking!" Haruka launched her attack towards some of Hadea's forces which took them out.
Flash fired his ray gun at opponents that were coming his way.
"Deep Submerge!"
Just as with the other attacks, Michiru's attack wipes out her opponents.
Flash saw all this in awe and he was quite amazed on how powerful these girls actually were. "You girls are good."
More of Hadea's forces arrived at the scene and prepared to attack the group.
"Man," Haruka stated. "They never stop."
"Flash, look out!" Ami shouted.
Flash turned around and noticed one of Hadea's soldiers had held his golden rifle at his chest. He took a deep breath in surprise as the attack. Before the soldier could fire a shot, he along with the rest of the forces of Hadea's are hit by laser blasts.
"That was close." Flash stated.
He along with the rest of the Sailor Guardians turned around to see the rebel group of this country firing the shots and with them was a blonde woman that Flash was familiar with.
"Looks like you guys could use some help," the woman stated.
"Of course," Ami replied.
"Wait," Flash stated. "I recognize you. You're Kristina Graf of the Skyband!"
"Correction: I was the leader of the Skyband," Kristina replied. "Ever since Hadea gained control over this planet, there hasn't been a Skyband."
Flash figured that Hadea had gotten all the groups such as the Skyband disbanded which was why they were a part of these rebellion groups.
"Flash, what's the Skyband?" Ami asked.
"They were a group of women pirates who have a vendetta against the Phantom," Flash answered. "If he was here, he would tell you more about them."
"Should we trust her?" Michiru asked.
"We don't have a lot of options here." Rei answered. "Besides, she's here to help us against Hadea and her forces, so whatever issues you have with her and this Skyband, it should be kept pushed aside until at least this crisis is over."
"That sounds fair," Flash replied.
He fired his handgun at Hadea's forces with help from Kristina and the rebels, beating them back as much as they can.
Rei got out an ofuda and prepared to launch an attack. "Rin, Pyo, To, Sha. Kai, Jin, Restu, Zai-Zen! Evil Spirit, be exorcised!"
The attack hits one of the soldiers and weakened him in the process.
"Space Sword Blaster!" Haruka lunged her sword and beat down some of her opponents in the process.
"Deep Submerge!" Michiru launched her attack and it wiped out her opponent in the process.
The group noticed some more soldiers coming towards them.
"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!" Ami launched her attack towards some of the soldiers.
"Good work, Sailor Mercury!" Haruka exclaimed.
Suddenly, an invisible force began to knock down some more of Hadea's guards, knocking them out in the process.
"It appears that she has arrived," Kristina declared.
"Who?" Flash asked, confused.
"What are you talking about?" Rei added.
"Man, this is a bit exhausting," a unfamiliar female voice chimed in.
Moments later, a woman appeared in a fighting pose. She was tall and slender, with white skin and had a very attractive body. Her long blonde hair swept in the air. She leapt across the area and used a force field to protect herself, Flash and the rebels.
"Who are you?" Ami asked.
"That's what I'd like to know." Flash added in surprise at the sudden appearance of the woman.
"My name's Sheila," the woman answered. "Don't worry. I will give you coverage."
"Fire Soul!" Rei launched her attack towards another pair of Hadea's soliders.
"Those girls you're with have powers too?" Sheila asked Flash.
He nodded in response. "Yes. They are known as the Sailor Guardians."
"That's right," Rei added. "Just how do you have powers anyways?"
"I have gained my powers from a group of powerful women known as the Omadrian." Sheila explained. "Just like my twin sister Aura."
"Aura? Twin sister?" Flash turned towards the woman in confusion.
"Yes," Sheila answered with hesistation in her voice. "I have ties with Mongo and a certain tyrant whom I trust you haven't seen in over a year."
"So you are a daughter of Ming the Merciless?" Flash asked.
"Who?" Ami asked in confusion.
"Yes." Sheila nodded. "However, before Hadea's conquest I was living here in Australia and I went into hiding underground after Queen Hadea gained control over Earth. Kristina Graf and her forces recruited me to be a part of this group."
Hadea's forces prepare to attack once again.
"It appears that they are ready for another round," Kristina stated.
"However, this could be their last round," Michiru replied.
"What do you mean?" Kristina asked.
"You're about to find out," Haruka answered.
"Submarine Reflection!" Michiru got out what looked like a mirror, which unleashed magical energy that weakened Hadea's forces.
"Now we can finish them off!" Rei exclaimed.
"Bubble Spray Freezing!" Ami launched her attack which turned the last of Hadea's forces into ice statues.
Rei gets out another ofuda, preparing for another attack. "Namah Samanta Vajaanaam, Candamahaarosana Sphotaya huum Trat Haam Maam! Hnnh! Fire Soul Bird!"
The fire attack formed into a shape of a bird and took out Hadea's army.
Flash was amazed at the many powers the Sailor Guardians possessed. He found it quite amazing that they were able to defeat Hadea's army, with help from Graf and the rebels of course.
"It appears that with those girls, you may actually have a chance in defeating Queen Hadea once and for all, Flash Gordon." Kristina stated. He nodded in response.
Everyone looked as a huge white portal opened right in front of the group.
"A portal?!" Michiru exclaimed.
"Where does it lead to?" Haruka asked. Flash stared at the white portal in surprise before he looked over at Ami, who pressed an earring and a blue visor appeared on her face that appeared to be some sort of scanner.
"Well?" Flash asked with some curiosity in his tone.
"It appears that this portal leads to Hadea's throne room." Ami answered.
"Well then." Rei replied. "Maybe we'll meet with the others and get to why Jedda betrayed us."
"You don't know that she betrayed us," Ami stated.
"Either way, we will put an end to Hadea's reign once and for all," Haruka stated. Michiru nodded in agreement.
Flash looked at the Sailor Guardians. For Rick's sake, he wanted to believe that Jedda didn't betray the team. He had hoped that wasn't the case.
Flash looked over at Sheila who was just standing there. "Wanna join us?"
"Me?" Sheila asked in surprise and a bit of confusion.
"Yeah." Flash answered. "You might be of good use in taking on Hadea. You might also be a valuable member of the Defenders of the Earth, even if you are Ming's daughter."
Sheila looked at him in awe, at first not really knowing what to say.
"You should go with them," Kristina encouraged her. "Flash Gordon has a very good point with what he is saying."
"All right." Sheila shook hands with Flash. "I'm in."
"Welcome aboard," Ami said to the newest member of the Defenders.
"Good for you to join us," Haruka added.
"It looks like we are all set," Michiru stated.
"Let's go!" Rei exclaimed.
"Good luck to all of you," Kristina told the group.
Flash nodded in response before he, Sheila, Ami, Rei, Haruka and Michiru all entered the portal and it closed behind them.
Minako was surprised upon finding herself in a different location. She looked to find that Makoto, Setsuna, Mandrake and Lothar were all with her.
"Where are we?" Makoto asked.
"This appears to be what used to be England," Mandrake answered.
"England?" Minako quipped in confusion.
"Precisely," Lothar answered. "Hadea had made England just like every other place in this planet."
"How do you know that this is England?" Minako asked.
"He can sense what this place used to be," Setsuna answered. "So can I."
"She had done this to every other planet in the galaxy as well." Mandrake added. "Including Mongo."
"She has gone off the deep end!" Makoto exclaimed. "Is there any chance in us stopping her?"
Minako took a deep breath. "You know. Maybe there's more to this conquest than beneath the eye."
"What?!" Makoto exclaimed in shock.
"What are you implying, my dear?" Mandrake asked.
"I'm not too sure," Minako answered. "There's just something about this Hadea ruling the galaxy that is making me feel… calming."
"Calming?" Lothar glanced at her with confusion.
"Minako, have you lost your mind?!" Makoto demanded.
"No," Minako quickly answered before taking another deep breath as she found it hard to explain what she was feeling. "I just have this feeling that Hadea might be doing more good than harm with this galaxy. I heard the children are going back to school."
"That part is true," Setsuna explained. "However, they are being taught to submit to Hadea's way and learn how her ruling works. It's not the right way."
Minako sighed, wondering why she was thinking that. They weren't wrong but she wondered why she was having thoughts and feelings for Hadea anyways. She was pulled out of her reverie upon hearing Mandrake shouting. "Watch out!"
She felt being pushed to the ground. Moments later, she looked up to find that Hadea's army has arrived, firing relentlessly. Mandrake managed to pull off a force field to protect the group, at least for a moment.
"It appears that we are not welcomed!" Lothar exclaimed. Minako leaped back up to her feet.
"Jupiter Oak Evolution!"
"Venus Love and Beauty Shock!"
The attack wiped out their opponents on sight.
"Mandrake!" Lothar exclaimed upon noticing one of Hadea's soldiers aiming his golden rifle at the magician.
"Dead Scream!"
Setsuna's attack spared Mandrake from a killing blow.
Moments later, more of Hadea's forces arrived.
"It appears that they are ready for round two!" Makoto exclaimed.
The group looked in surprise upon a group of ray guns being fired at Hadea's forces.
"Yet the rebels of this country have arrived." Mandrake calmly declared.
The group looked to see the rebel group of this country at the area as they were firing their ray guns at the soldiers.
"Hadea may call this country Ferra but we will always consider this country England!" the rebel leader shouted as he fired his gun at Hadea's forces.
Minako was surprised that this was indeed England that they were at. She was also amazed at the rebels' combat skills.
"Sparkling Wide Pressure!"
"Venus Love Me Chain!"
The attacks from Makoto and Minako wiped out their opponents.
"Chronos Typhoon!"
Setsuna's new attack took out her new opponents and saved two of the rebels from a killing blow from one of Hadea's forces.
Minako looked on as she and the others looked at the last of Hadea's army.
"It seems that there is not that many left of Hadea's fores." Setsuna stated.
"Time to finish this!" Lothar declared.
Makoto looked at Minako. "We will make the finishing blow to Hadea's soldiers. What do you think?"
"Okay." Minako nodded with some hesitation.
"Don't worry," Makoto assured her team mate. "It'll be fine."
"I hope so." Minako nodded before she powered up for her attack. "Crescent Beam Shower!"
"Jupiter, my guardian planet!" Makoto prepared her attack with the antenna formed on her tiara. "Bring forth a storm! Summon the clouds and bring down your thunder! Supreme Thunder Dragon!"
Her thunder attack took form of a dragon and took out one half of the last of the soldiers in the area. While Minako's attack took out the other half of the army.
Minako looked around as the rebel group appeared to be pleased with how she and the others managed to defeat Hadea's forces.
"I don't know much about these girls that you Defenders of the Earth are with." the rebel leader told Mandrake. "However, with them at your side, I believe that you are going to be victorious against Queen Hadea."
"Thanks," Minako quipped.
Moments later, a large white portal opened.
"A portal!" Lothar exclaimed.
"Thanks, Captain Obvious," Makoto said.
"Where does this portal lead to?" Minako asked as she felt nervous yet at the same time, she was ready to take on Hadea along with the others.
"I can sense that it leads to the Netherworld." Setsuna answered. "That means that we will be facing Hadea."
"Now it is time for the grand finale," Mandrake declared.
"Well what are we waiting for?" Lothar looked at everyone else in his group. ""I am ready to put an end to this conflict once and for all."
"I concur with your sentiments exactly." Mandrake nodded in agreement.
Minako nodded as she clenched a fist, ready for action or whatever awaits her and the others.
"We wish all of you the best of luck in your battle against Queen Hadea." the Ferra rebel leader told Mandrake and the others.
"We thank you," Mandrake replied before he, Lothar and Setsuna were the first to enter the portal.
Minako looked down, wondering why she was feeling conflict against Hadea in the first place. That woman was their enemy after all and apparently had caused Jedda to betray her own team. Was it all as it seemed to be?
"Minako, are you coming?" Makoto asked.
"Yes." Minako nodded. Then, she and Makoto entered through the portal before it closed behind them.
Scene Commentary:
Flash glanced over at Ami. "Ami, is it?"
Ami looked at him with some confusion. "Yes. Why?"
"I just wanted to say that I wanted to thank you for helping my son through a tough time," Flash said. "He misses Jedda but you helped him when he needed someone to talk to."
"It's not a problem," Ami replied. "He listened to me when I needed an ear."
I figured that Flash was aware of the interaction that Rick has had with Ami for the fourth and fifth chapters and I written this to establish that Flash would appreciate Ami being there for his son.
"Wait," Flash stated. "I recognize you. You're Kristina Graf of the Skyband!"
"Correction: I was the leader of the Skyband." Kristina replied. "Ever since Hadea gained control over this planet, there hasn't been a Skyband."

Thus we have our cameo with Kristina Graf of the Skyband. I figured that Hadea had caused her group to somehow disband at least until her reign had ended and needless to say this will not be the last that we see of Kristina Graf.

Let's all welcome the newest member of the Defenders of the Earth: Sheila Oceanna Dewindt, who is the daughter of Ming the Merciless and is one of Marzena's creations just like April Gordon. In fact, Sheila was the first of her OCs that I was interested in as I felt that she would bring some great story line regarding the Defenders, mainly the Gordon family (Flash, Rick and April).
"Well?" Flash asked with some curiosity in his tone.

As you can see, I was trying to make this scene in Flash's POV and how he is seeing things, especially with the Sailor Guardians on board. It's also a good call to invite Sheila to the team.

"Okay," Minako nodded with some hesitation.
"Don't worry." Makoto assured her team mate. "It'll be fine."

I tried making this scene from Minako's POV as she appears to have some conflict regarding Hadea for some reason. Perhaps, this could be played out in the near future.

Chapters
Volume One
Using the power of the Necklace of Oros, Queen Hadea conquers the galaxy. The Defenders seek help from a group called the Sailor Guardians.
Rei notices the effects of battle on Usagi. Meanwhile, both teams make desperate efforts to end the clash. The Sailors approach Hadea's temple, and Flash's daughter returns to lend her aid.
Each side becomes more powerful.
Issues in Jedda's past and present lead to a monumental decision.
Princess Jedda begins embracing Hadea's cause. Ami and Rick continue to bond.
Members of the Sailor Outer Senshi join the battle. Princess Jedda is faced with a decision as a ruler. Later, she explores a startling possibility.
Now divided, the teams fend attacks off while struggling to reach Hadea.
As Rick and the princess finally reunite, a climactic showdown with Hadea begins.
The Guardians and Defenders continue their clash against the queen.
In the aftermath, revelations emerge and choices are made.
Volume Two
The younger team members begin adjusting to the changes. Others strive to fit back into normal society.
As his companions reflect, Mandrake begins to sense a mystical disturbance.
Mandrake is reacquainted with a major figure in his life.
Ming returns.
The group scrambles to counter Ming, who is aided by Krotan.
16: The First Abductions: LJ and Mars
Once again, Krotan makes his move on Jedda.
17: Closure For Rick and Mercury
The groups scurry to save their friends. Ami and Rick have a personal discussion.
As Minako and Jedda connect, Krotan continues closing in on members of the group.
Krotan has an enticing proposition.
The Defenders and Guardians make their stand against Krotan.
Volume Three
Rick's dreams signal a great change in his life. Mysterious figures begin moving behind the scenes.
Rei and Rick sense more darkness on the horizon.
Ming and Galaxia engage in discussions.
An unexpected battle occurs at a concert.
Rick considers the effects of his transformation.
The team has a confrontation with a group knows as the Three Lights.
Rick's abilities make him a target.
As Rick continues healing, the Sailors assess the situation with the Starlights.
Rick is targeted by the Sailor Animamates.
The team searches for Rick, along with information on their new opponents.
Volume Four
As the struggle against Galaxia continues, Hadea and Jedda discuss the Netherworld's future. Meanwhile, Usagi's power grows.
Cathleen initiates her effort to control Rick.
The team manages to locate Rick and his manipulator.
Rick frets over his mutation while others seek to reverse it.
The Sailors and their allies face a new threat in Tin Nyanko.
Nyanko becomes the latest to seek Rick's power.
As Rick's humanity begins slipping away, his friends continue their quest to cure him.
Rick runs amok, and a massive battle against Nyanko begins.
The Sailors make a stunning discovery.
Jedda and Rick take a huge step forward.
Volume Five
Rick and Jedda begin their new lives.
A girl arrives to meet Mandrake.
The group begins getting to know the newcomer.
Rick is visited by a servant who gives him access to valuable information.
Amy's special abilities are revealed.
Rick learns more about his power, and how it might relate to the current events. Hadea attempts to console him later.
The group endeavors to rescue Mamoru from a mystical prison.
Usagi and her friends confront Mamoru's captor.
The battle in the dream realm reaches a conclusion.
The aftermath of the dream clash brings several people closer.
Volume Six
Rick senses that the Netherworld could face an imminent attack.
The groups begin learning more about the Kings.
Hadea and her companions take preemptive measures against Zorelda.
Hadea and Phantom explore their bond, as do several others throughout the day. First appearance of Tori Gordon.
Rick and Jedda work to resolve recent issues. Minako explores life in the Netherworld.
Ming reenters the fray as the Kings converse with Zorelda.
The groups decide that it's time for the confrontation.
The Guardians and Defenders engage the Kings in the Netherworld.
The Kings begin to realize the truth.
With Zorelda seemingly thwarted, the groups begin moving on. A woman named Rachel arrives at Monitor.
Everyone begins learning more about Rachel.
